Well, I switched us over from DSL to cable internet service this past week and right after I got it installed I noticed something online saying that Comcast would be upgrading service in the next couple of weeks. Last night I was having trouble with intermittent service and I remembered what I had read. When service came back on, it would be amazingly fast. I went over to cNet’s free bandwidth test and discovered that I was now receiving 3Mbit download speed. That is basically two T1’s coming right in here (without the same upstream of course). I was pretty stoked and I have to say it is blazing fast. Just in time for the home media PC project.
