DVD43 Free

Well, just like everything else, DVD43 Free has figured out how to remove the copy protection on DVDs with their software. I have not installed this software, but wanted to “bookmark” it and place it here as a resource for the Home Media PC project.

Have used dvd43 for some time. Currently I am using version 3.9, works well with older dvds but not new ones. Copies tend to be fine until towards end of movie then they become unwatchable.

  3. Richard Ellingson Says:

Lastest DVD 43 9.0 version does not work with The Da Vinci Code. Using I Copy DVD’s 2, 6 minutes into reading the process suddenly jumps to 53% complete then stalls out. Is an update to DVD 43 coming or is there another program that will do it? Thanks

  6. David Lennel Says:

Same as above, works with most dvd’s but dvd 44 3.9.0 doesnt work with lord of the rings 1 or the extended version of the return of the king.
    Any updates available??

  7. Chris Herman Says:

Had the same problem with The DaVinci Code, but was able to use DVD Shrink on it’s own to Rip the extended version of Return of theKing. Be sure to disable DVD43 B4 starting DVD Shrink.

I have been using DVDShrink now to backup my DVDs to my hard drive (for use with the MyMovies plugin for Windows MCE) with great success. It cuts a couple of gigs off the original DVD size if you want to go no compression and you can make them much smaller if you are not going to watch them on a quality or HD set.

  9. Ronald Yniguez Says:

When exactly will there be an update for the dvd 43 decoding program? Will there be updates? Please write back?

  10. Carl Linke Says:

Will DVD43 work on PC games

  11. Chopstick_Slapper Says:

Works a treat with Nero! Can’t fault it, also works brilliantly with DVDx if you wanna cut small clips from dvd’s without ripping the whole thing to your hardrive first!

I downloaded DVD 43 yesterday and I have a few problem too. Copying some copyright DVD does takes time. When I fist inserted the DVD, it shows me the demonic face, I have to wait like 15 minutes and it becomes green and ican finally copy it using Nero.

Before installing DVD 43, I tried to copy some DVD files to my hard drives. After copying, the video will not work properly and only give me the sound and no image. However the problem is slove once I install DVD 43.

I guess, It’s not really a perfect program, but you need to be patient and explored how it works.

I usually have no problems with making a legal backup copy for my purchased DVD movies. It took a while and some money to weed out so-called excellent DVD copy software, but finally I found a combination that works (yes…even on new releases mentioned above).

I bought 1clickdvdcopy and used it with either slysoft’s anydvd or dvd43 (usually the free dvd43 works quite well). Buy decent double layer disks (they’re less than $2 at most good stores and online outlets) and you can make an exact copy with all features. It will also allow you to shrink a DL movie to a regular DVDR with excellent results.

  21. James Says:

I have used dvd43 for two years, has worked very well. It did have an issue with windows media player 9. so I got an other media player.

  22. roybean Says:

Get a copy of AnyDVD - it works with new DVD protection systems.

Or get a copy of DVDFab Platinum - it already has a protection remover built in.

  23. Mike Says:

How do I remove it. It will not allow me to deleat it.

  24. Abe Says:

Please note that DVD43 v3.9.0 has not been updated in a long, long time. It is my belief that development on this utility to keep up with current CSS encryption techniques has gone stagnant for some reason. You may want to consider using a product such as Slysoft’s AnyDVD. It is not free but it does work very well, they release frequent point releases, and they do have a support staff.

i have been using dvd43 for almost 3 years now. works best with 1 click dvd copy, also on new dvd that you have problems copying
you have to rip them with dl disable first then that copy you can enable dl, i get a perfect backup every time

  27. Londo Says:

I’ve been using DVD43 along with 1click software for a while now, and overall it seems to work quite well, I have had a couple movies that crash toward the end, but I understand this has been corrected or at least an attempt to correct in V4.1

I downloaded dvd43. I want to get rid of it
and it won`t do it because it says it is still
running. I have tried to shut it down,
unsuccessfully. How do I stop running so
that I can get rid of it.

  29. David C. Stevens Says:

    Hi,
I just installed DVD43 ver 4.2 and when ever I insert a DVD, it takes forever to recognize it, then the read face shows up, and after 15 minutes, it freezes up my system. I have to manually shut my computer down. I installed DVD43 on a clean install of Windows XP Pro SP2 with Nero 8. I’m using Sony’s internal and external drive (18X). I tried to install all versions of DVD43 from 3.9 to the most current. Can any one help? I would appreciate it very much.

  30. Joe Oliverio Says:

I am using 1 click DVD copy Pro along with DVD 43, and have had many successful burns. Now all of a sudden my copies seem to break up towards the end of the movie.
I am doing nothing differant, and even just renewed my license to continue. Does anyone klnow what is happening here???

  31. JM Says:

I have been using DVD43 and Handbrake for quite a while now, and it works every time. I don’t think I have ever had a dvd that didn’t rip with it.

  32. Jerry Says:

I have been using 1ClickCopy5 for several months now. I have copied over 100 movies and have yet to have a problem with DVD43. But now I have had my first setback. When trying to back up my Smallville series collection, Season 1 Disc 2 came up with an encrytion error telling me to re run the DVD43 encrypter. I did it 4 times along with rebooting my computer, but still won’t work. Does anyone have a suggestion or has anyone dealt with this same scenario? Please help!! Thanx. jerry

  33. AL Says:
