Nokia 6620 Follow Up Part I

Ok, so after having the Nokia 6620 for a few days, I have realized a few things that you may find interesting. First of all, the layout on the 6620 is a bit awkward. Holding it in my hand (on the larger side if you don’t know me), the dialing buttons and joystick are positioned in the bottom third of the body of the phone. This is clearly to fit the large TFT screen the 6620 sports in the smallest possible footprint. To be honest, at this point, it feels like it can fall out of my hand pretty easily. The other thing I just realized is that I am going to have to get a few extra batteries and a desktop charger that can charge the phone and an extra battery at the same time. This baby likes to eat power. The screen along with Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE wireless networking eat up the battery in a hurry. The good news is, batteries are $10 delivered from people on eBay (OEM Nokia batteries). The last thing I have found so far is that the learning curve is pretty big on this phone. It can do a whole lotta stuff and it is going to take a few more days and some reading to figure it all out. I may have to actually scan the manual page by page to make sure I don’t miss some of the basic features.
