Project Media Center 2005 Underway
Well, I don’t know what happened…well, yes I do. I just couldn’t take it any longer. I finally ordered the new fixin’s for my Media Center PC project. I just checked eBay and I will be able to sell my Series 2 Tivo, with lifetime subscription, for at least $300, so that is nice. And, I picked up a Dell 1905 FP LCD monitor for 40% off thanks to Deppy. If you are looking for a great deal on anything electronic, please let me know, I am sure Deppy has a deal on it. Basically, Dell sells them for $500 and I picked it up for $299 + tax with free shipping. I am pretty excited to see it as it has a 800:1 contrast ratio…so the picture must be incredible. I have seen 600:1 LCDs and they look awesome.
Anyway, back to the good stuff. Here are the specs on the new box that will be running Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition 2005:

Ordered it all from newegg.com. They turn around orders in no time and are located in Vernon (Los Angeles county). Usually, they offer super cheap FedEx super saver shipping on most items and it arrives within 2 days from the order date. If it shows up on Wednesday, it will not surprize me.
