Cleaning LCD Screens

I am either just learning how to drink, or I laugh too much at my own jokes. I was sitting at the computer the other day, working on my brand new Dell 19″ LCD monitor when I laughed at something stupid. The problem is that I had just taken a sip of my Orange Gatorade and I spit it all over the place. I wiped it up quickly and only little spay drops made it to the LCD. But, after a few minutes a bunch of little, sticky drops were now all over the screen. Nice move J. So, what do you use to clean an LCD screen without damaging it?

The general consensus is to use a mixture of Isopropyl Alcohol and water at no more than 50% alcohol by volume. Of course you can spray this mixture on to the screen and then use the softest cloth you can find (no paper towels here gang or anything that does not feel like a baby’s bottom). I have some micro-fiber wipes I got from my eye doctor to clean my glasses and sunglasses and they work very well. Another thing to remember is that we are working with electronics here, so use the liquid solution sparingly.
