VGA to Composite

Since we don’t presently have an HD display to watch television on, we have to use a composite (yellow RCA cable) video input or an S-Video input on the standard television right now. The Sapphire Video card comes with a S-Video/Composite input/output cable dongle that has one input and output for each format. The quality of the video it puts out is really not the best, so I have been looking for a VGA to composite or S-Video adapter like these. These are really cool because you can get their extender boxes that will allow you to extend our VGA/DVI/S-Video/Composite Video feeds up to 600 feet via a standard Cat5 cable. They are a little spendy, but nothing beats a cable. Wireless is great for ease of use and setup, but nothing beats a cable.

UPDATE: People are asking me about where to find a VGA to Composite adapter via email. I would try this place…you may have heard of it.

Depending on where you live it could be your PC is set up to the wrong video standard (PAL,NTSC etc) and will need to be modified in the graphics card display options.

The ebay ad says (sort of) that the adapter does not work with standard VGA. Your video board must support TV Out, which is not standard.
