Word Press Themes Part Deux

I have to say, WordPress 1.5 is pretty sweet. There are a couple of hundred themes available and to be honest, if you know your way around CSS pretty well, you can put together a template in no time at all. I will be putting together a couple of three column layouts here pretty quickly and plan on making them available for free. But, if you are looking for some Word Press themes right now, here are a few places to find yourself a pretty cool one fast.

To use a WordPress theme, there are a few simple steps you need to follow. NOTE: There may be additional steps required by each theme, but most theme installations will follow these steps:

  1. Download the theme to your server
If you use an ftp client to upload files to your web server, then download to your local computer, extract the files (using WinZip), and upload to your web server)
  2. Unzip files and copy them to the /wp-content/themes/ directory (folder).
  3. In the WordPress admin panel, go to Presentation and select the theme you just uploaded. If you do not see it listed there, make sure you uploaded it to the correct directory and/or read the readme.html file included with your theme
  4. That is it. Pretty amazing how simple this is
