Mobile Phones and Ringtones
August 8th, 2005 - 11 CommentsWell, I guess you know that the whole mobile phone ringtone and wallpaper craze has made it to the masses when your future mother-in-law has one on her phone. That is right, Cameron has a custom ringtone on her cell phone that is not even on most of the time and I am not even sure she can check voice mails on (not that I don’t think you can if you are reading this). I don’t think people realize how many out there are actively seeking, trading and buying ringtones. It is amazing the things that you see when you are connected to the internet and ringtone downloads are one of the things that has surprized the heck out of me.

Pretty good chance she won’t be reading your blog big man.

VJ, nice looking site and interesting concept. I don’t know if the FMIL (future mother-in-law) will be creating her own ringtones any time soon though.
Yea, ringtones is a big business. I know here in the UK many many people purchase ringtones online over 3g network and many other ways. Your mother in law… thats great
Wow, this post is actually pretty old, but it is pretty interesting if you look at the ringtone market now and compare it to 2005. Honestly, who’s cell phone doesn’t have a ringtone? My grandma’s cell phone went off the other day and I couldn’t help but laugh when I heard some up beat techno ringtone blaring from the speaker.
You can definitely make your own ringtones. Ringtones allow people to personalize your phone and people love that.
haha My mom asked me the other day how to download a ringtone on her phone. oh lord!
The way I see it, if people had more brains, they could buy Sound Forge or a similar program and make their own ringies.
LOL, I caught my mother with a rave anthem as her ringtone…..The worlds gone mad
Ringtones are one of the hottest items in the wireless market today. It’s not only teenagers craving for ringtones of their favorites artists. Having a custom ringtone on a cell phone is a small way of setting apart from everyone else. Nowadays, there are many websites that offers free ringtones where you can add more tunes to your phones.
