New Layout
So, I would like to hear some comments on the new layout. I “finished” it up last night and I have been debating between using the background image (the shadow and cream color) or just leaving it white. White is super clean and mean, but pretty boring…according to my personal advisor. This layout was created to accomodate the Adsense and other standard ad size layouts very easily. You will see the 250×250 layout cube in the upper left, and it can be easily adapted to hold 300×250 with one change. I am hoping to release this thing today under the name of the Adsense Ready Theme for WordPress.

Hi Jason,
I found your site searching on themes. I actually was looking for one that I plan to use with a new article directory that will be specifcally geared toward articles on weight loss.
However, when I saw your adsense specific theme come up in my narrowed search, I was quite interested. I have a complementary blog to each article directory or website I have, and have had some difficulties getting the feeds to work right when inserting adsense code.
However, I cannot get to your adsense download link. i am getting a blank 404 error from your link.
I will gladly give you some free promotion from my sites, if you can help me get this straighten out.
Interesting article about Yahoo and Tivo too.
Kindest regards,
Laurie Meade

Laurie,
sorry about that, you beat me to the punch so to speak. Here is the link to download Adsense Ready. There is a README.txt file in there and I am always here to answer any questions…I am a geek. Let me know how it works out and if you have any questions.
Cheers.

Dear Jason,
I have just found your old 3 column theme, which is simple and clear - just what I have been looking for, and installed it on my server. You can see the outcome at http://www.biggybank.com
I have 2 issues that require help:
1. I am having rather more than a bit of difficulty figuring out how to get content into the right nav bar.
2. In my browser the text in the dates and in the links is showing up as times new roman. I am very new to php and css, so I was wondering how to make it show up as Arial or other sans serif font?
3. I noticed that there are 2 css files in this template and was wondering why?
I know you have released a new adsense ready template that uses tables, but I would have to make too many other changes to it, so I would really prefer to use the simple 3 column theme.
I was wondering if you could give me some advice.
Thanks in advance

Tamara, check out the new 3 column theme I put together at Green Hat SEO, you can download it there if you would like to use it. It is far better than this old dog.

Thanks for the tip, Jason. The new theme looks fantastic!
In the meantime, I managed to put together our blog using the old theme, and I’ve put so much work into, I don’t want to start again. So I will stick with the old one and keep making improvements on that as much as I can.

I finally started using your new Green Hat SEO theme and am thrilled with it!
It works so much smoother than the old theme, and was quite easy to adapt to our colour scheme, and easy to add all the extras wherever we needed.
I really appreciate the time and effort you put into creating these themes, and I hope they will become popular with other Wordpress users too!

Working to change the theme to suit me more. Now all I have on the left side is the adsense code. I would like to have it look a bit more as yours is.

Can you tell me what plugins you use on your site (esp. on the left side-bar).

HI there–
I’m considering using Wordpress instead of just plain old HTML. I’ve been running a three column website forever… well, about 11 years, but I really like your clean approach in combo with Wordpress.
I’d love to talk to you about how difficult it will be for an old dog to learn new tricks.
Thanks!
Jen
