Apparently the folks at Sony have decided that their preferred method of implementing DRM software is to install a rootkit without anyone knowing. I just read an article over at ZD Net that details a few testers’ accounts of discovering the Sony DRM scheme. Worse, the software/rootkit apparently prevents songs from being copied to iPods. Goog job Sony BMG. Glad to see you are shoving software down people’s throats without letting them know. I am sure this will last long.
