Something very interesting just happened and I thought I would share it here. I was looking at some jacket’s online with Danielle (my fiance) for her mother (Cameron, please stop reading here). Danielle wanted to show me two jackets, one at The Sports Basement and one at REI. Now, me being the super geek that I am, would probably just guess that Sports Basement owned sportsbasement.com and I would simply type that or rei.com into the address bar. What did Danielle do? She went to Google and typed in “sports basement” as a search query. Crazier than that, she did the same thing for REI. I guess most of us have a lot to learn about how the vast majority of internet users use search.
