Hmmm, just noticed something kinda interesting. I think this is a new development over at the Google Directory. I have a site that is in the ODP and the Google Directory that will not display if I type the domain name in as a search query. The other sites in the category all display if I type the domain name in, minus the TLD extension, yet this one will not. I used to be able to find it using this technique, but it appears that something has changed. The site is still listed in the directory, but rather than having an empty (read: all white) bar next to it, it now has no bar. The site is in the Google search cache and updates pretty frequenty (the home page along with about 7 others). So, maybe it is simply that the site is now banned in Google’s eyes? Sweet.
