Trusted Domain vs. Trusted Links +Google
Well, I am not sure what any of this means, but I put up a new subdomain on golod.com over the weekend…actually on Friday afternoon around 5pm. The new site was indexed in Google after I posted one blog post and later put a link on the golod.com blogroll. I checked to see if it was indexed yesterday (Sunday) and sure enough it was. There is no Adsense on the subdomain, and I simply pinged pingomatic using the stock Wordpress ping setup. So, I guess I will have to see what happens if I do the same thing without a link in the blogroll here and how that translates into the sub-domain getting indexed.

[…] To follow up on my Google trusted host idea, it looks like that it is not necessary to have “at least one link pointing to your site” as it used to be, to get a website into the Google index. I launched a new subdomain on the golod.com domain that has a Wordpress blog on it. I have posted a few items on it and sure enough, it was indexed in Google soon after. You got me confused. Not exactly a comment on what you write, but thought that you might be the right person to anser me. I see that you have a Wordpress account, but adsense on it! I have a free Wordpress Account and had to change to Blogger to put adsense on it and get paid, today. Should not I do it? Because I am missing Wordoress functionality. I am sure you will give me a nice idea!

Jason, I started my blog (hosted) on the WP platform, and I have so many issues…I found great 3 column template w/widgets and adsense, only the code is all wrong, it doesn’t allow head requests, I have problems with URL redirect,etc.. and nobody seems to know the answer.
Can you recommend something? I am in SF.
