Gmail Status Page Please

Ok, so I rely heavily on email…shocker. Just about every industry does these days. Email is fast, efficient and something you can send and receive just about anywhere if you are enough of a geek. So, what happens when you use Gmail to relay your email, clean up your spam and provide web based access to your email accounts? Normally, nothing out of the ordinary. Today, Gmail has some kind of problem, but there is no way for me or anyone else in the real world to find out what the status of the gmail system is. There is no Gmail blog, nothing on the official Google blog regarding the status of gmail and so I guess I am just S.O.L. until they get a handle on the problem.

What would be nice, is an official Gmail status page.

It is really a shocker. I have 5 domains forwarding to gmail. There is no status whatsoever what’s happening on the service. Other google services are ok.

    Geeeze still down this morning…

Perhaps Google has stopped gmail all together… It is a “beta” product after all!

I don’t like seeing a message of “try again in a few minutes” hour after hour either.

Maybe not putting up a more accurate status message means the problem is so bad that no one is spending time on telling the end-user what is going on and/or they also (falsely) think they almost have the problem solved.

I also would appreciate knowing an accurate time for return of functionality…..

I agree, this is absolutely ridiculous. Give us some sort of update. I am pulling my hair out….try again in a few minutes….ARGH!

    HI,

I haven’t been able to get past the Gmail login screen for over 24 hours. It would be nice if the mail login page had a report facility that tols usres about any problems and a prognosis.

Just looking at a login screen that isn’t going anywhere is quite frustrating.

Is there another problem with the gmail website? Haven’t been able to log in to my account in several days. Anybody have any suggestions?
    Thanks.
