Microsoft’s Research Bot and Algorithm Work
March 28th, 2007 - No Comments YetWell, I noticed that a bot named MSRBot was grabbing a lot of pages from one of my sites just now and since I have not really frequented any search engine forums lately I didn’t know what it was. Turns out it is Microsoft’s Research Bot. Upon further inspection I noticed that the information page for MSRBot has a link to a page about Microsoft’s research into search technologies and algorhythms. Interesting things they are working on…especially if you are a dork like me. None of it is earth shattering, but something that anyone who wants their website to rank well for the long-term should be considering when they are working on their link strategies.
