Best Airplane Power Adapters
I get a lot of questions from friends and family members seeing how I am the resident tech guru. One item that I was an early adopter of was the airplane power adapter. I bought a really nice one (read cost over $150) that I had to buy an adapter cord for to work with my Ibm Thinkpad x20. I still have this adapter today, but I have also tried a number of other “budget” airline adapters for laptops that simply allow them to plug the laptop power adapter into them. Not surprizingly, they have just about all worked fine. I simply tell everyone who asks me at this point to buy one of these airline power adapters and if it takes a dump, just buy another one. The kicker is, it works in the car as well. Most of these come with some sort of carrying case and can be had for under $20…which is less than you will find a comparable “auto inverter” for in most Kragan or Auto Zone stores.

I’ve been on the market for one myself but I think your advice is sound.
Thanks for posting it.
