Small Business Online Service Spending Increases
August 23rd, 2007 - No Comments YetSome interesting stats in an email I received this morning from Speakeasy (the geek’s broadband provider):
U.S. small business spending on Web hosting is growing by 9.5% annually. It is expected to reach $7.4 billion by 2009, when over 83% of small businesses will have an online presence, according to analyst firm IDC.
IDC also projects that 25% of these companies will be using their sites to support online sales at that time. All of this translates into a positive outlook for the web hosting industry, which is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of nearly 15% through 2011.
Companies like GoDaddy are really poised to dominate this market IMHO. This also seems to implicate that we are still at the very early stages of the WWW.
