Free WiFi Access in San Francisco
Since I have not been able to get anyone at the Internet Archive to give me anything more than a, “yeah, we got your email” regarding their SFLan “project”, I noticed today that someone posted a question about the San Francisco Meraki WiFi project. Right now, they will give one of their repeaters to you for free if you live in San Francisco to help build their network for free wireless internet in SF. Nice. The only thing is that I was hoping to get on board with the IA people because they seem to have some serious bandwidth on tap. Merkai appears to use DSL connections that are probably much smaller.
