NEO for Outlook

If you are like me and you have about 10 years of emails archived in your Outlook folders, then you are going to want to check out an Outlook add-on called NEO. I was taking the longest route possible back from New Orleans yesterday and was fortunate enough to sit next to a fellow tech geek on my leg from Chicago to San Francisco. Matthew is a power email user and we started talking about a piece of software he uses to search the 4GB of emails he has saved on his laptop. He showed me how fast NEO indexes and searches alll of the emails he has and I was pretty amazed. If you have used Outlook long, you know that the search feature is slower than slow. He doesn’t even bother organizing his email, he simply moves all of it to a “Deleted” folder for a specific year and then just searches for terms or strings based on what he is looking for. Pretty sweet….oh and there is a full-blown free version.
